Our Story

Quality and Manufacturing

Our products are made to meet the standards we expect for our own families. This page outlines how PureCo products are manufactured, tested, and certified from raw material to finished bottle.

Where Our Products Are Made

PureCo products are manufactured in the United States in FDA-registered facilities that operate under Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). We partner with established contract manufacturers who specialize in dietary supplement production and operate documented quality management systems. Our manufacturing partners are audited regularly to confirm they continue to meet the standards required to make our products.

Testing Every Lot

Every production lot of our products goes through a standard testing protocol before it is released for sale. Testing is performed by ISO 17025-accredited laboratories using validated methods. If a lot does not meet specification on any of these tests, it is not released.

Standard lot testing includes:

  • Identity testing to verify ingredient authenticity, typically by FTIR or an equivalent method.
  • Heavy metals testing for arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury by ICP-MS, in accordance with USP <232> and <233> standards. Our products meet California Proposition 65 limits.
  • Microbiological testing for total aerobic plate count, yeast and mold, coliforms, E. coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus aureus using USP and AOAC standard methods.
  • Allergen verification, including ELISA-based gluten testing on products carrying gluten-free claims.

Certifications and Verifications

Many of our products carry independent third-party certifications. The certifications applicable to any specific product are shown on its product label. Depending on the product, these may include:

  • USDA Organic certification, issued by accredited certifiers such as QAI or CCOF
  • Non-GMO Project Verified
  • Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO) certification
  • Kosher certification

Manufacturing facilities producing our certified products are audited annually by the relevant certifying bodies.

Raw Material Standards

Raw material suppliers are required to provide a certificate of analysis with every lot they ship. Incoming materials are verified by our manufacturing partners before being released into production, which means every batch of finished product is built on raw materials that have been individually documented and tested.
